Children and youth in care of Peel Children’s Aid have benefited greatly from the generosity and dedication of our corporate partners and sponsors.
RBC Insurance
When Peel Children’s Aid wanted to open its own Medical Clinic because local family doctors were reluctant to provide care for foster children, RBC Insurance presented Peel Children’s Aid Foundation with the funds required to support it. With RBC’s help, we were able to not only renovate the space, but also purchase all the examination tables and supplies required to open the clinic.
GAP Canada
In addition to providing financial support for the Skills for Success Program, GAP Canada participated in an employment skills workshop for youth in care of Peel Children’s Aid, providing them with valuable tips on building a resume, interview skills, etc. Feedback from participants was very positive and as a result, some of them acquired part-time jobs almost immediately.
GE Capital Solutions
In Summer 2007, employees at GE Capital Solutions, already supporters of the Holiday Wishes Program, wanted to take on a volunteer project with Peel Children’s Aid Foundation, focusing on back-to-school supplies. With their financial support, over the years, GE Capital has donated funds to purchase and fill over 500 backpacks with everything kids, ranging from kindergarten to high school, need.
HBC
Every year, HBC provides $10,000 in gift cards for the Holiday Wishes Program. These gift cards are used to purchase toys for children in need of financial support during the holidays. They are also used to provide children and teens with winter clothing, bed linens and other essential supplies. HBC's donations total more than $80,000 in total!
